The ORCID-WACA initiative is a WACREN program supported by the ORCID Global Participation Fund.
EXPANDING REGIONAL ORCID ADOPTION
It expands the use of Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier (ORCID) digital IDs and persistent identifiers across West and Central Africa to boost the global visibility and credibility of regional researchers.
Drive regional ORCID adoption, train 15 regional ambassadors, and engage over 1,000 researchers and librarians. Backed by the ORCID Global Participation Fund and integrated with networks like eduID.africa. Activities include multilingual workshops, a community of practice, and virtual office hours for institutional repositories.
